Robert M. Chavez

Robert M. Chavez opened Permian Machinery Movers, Inc. in February 1981. They have 64 employees and offer forklift rental and service as well as heavy machinery moving. The most unique thing about the business is that it is a true family business. The company employs three of Robert’s uncles, three of his nephews and they have employees who have been with the company for 20 years.

After serving in the Air Force, Robert attended Odessa College and UTPB where he studied business. He is very involved in the community and volunteers for the Permian Basin Rehab Center, Permian Basin Mission Center, I & D, the Gideons and Community Bible Study (CBS).  He also sits on the Odessa Chamber of Commerce Board, LEAP Board and Ector County Appraisal District Board. In the past he served on the Odessa Development Corporation board and was named Hispanic Chamber Businessman in 2003.

Robert has been married to his wife Aracely for 20 years and they have three children: Ariana, Amanda and Samantha. They also have one granddaughter named Alyssa.
