Volunteer Opportunities

The Odessa Chamber of Commerce is your connection to Odessa's business community. We offer a variety of ways to get involved through volunteer programs, different committees, and frequent networking events.
Chamber Education Committee

The Odessa Chamber Education Committee is focused on improving the overall quality of education in Ector County and Odessa.  Members representing local businesses and organizations meet on a monthly basis to discuss ways to get the Odessa business community better involved in the educational opportunities in the area.  The Odessa Chamber has a strong partnership with Ector County Independent School District, Odessa College, the University of Texas of the Permian Basin and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.  Odessa also has private schools, as well as a number of charter schools.  Thanks to the hard work of the volunteers, our Chamber Education Committee is one of the lead organizations in making sure education is valued in our community and that Ector County and Odessa continue to improve on all aspects of education.

Chamber Transportation Committee

The Odessa Chamber Transportation Committee is comprised of a number of business, community and organizational leaders who meet regularly to address transportation issues in our area.  Whether it be local roads and streets, state highways or railway needs, our Transportation Committee voices concerns to local, state and federal leaders on proposed or future road needs to address community growth and maintenance.

Chamber Legislative Affairs Committee

The Chamber Legislative Affairs Committee works with local, state and national leaders to address any public policy issues that affect Odessa, Ector County and the business climate.  During state legislative sessions, Odessa Chamber partners with the Midland Chamber to host a Legislative Day at the Capital with more than 100 delegates.  Anyone interested in waving Odessa’s flag of support is encouraged to participate in the Legislative Day, which will be held March 14-16, 2021.

CEO Roundtable

A group of 15 business owners and managers meet monthly to discuss issues pertaining to Leadership and Management.  This small group is facilitated by Emergency Partners, a leading consulting company who specializes in issues facing small business leaders today.
